Alhamdulilah, Ramadan will be just around the corner. We at ISNEO are excited for this holy month of fasting, prayer, and dedicated worship. We are also excited to share this time with our community with weekly Iftar dinners, nightly Taraweeh prayer, and a Quran Competition for all age groups.

Details

Jummuah Prayer During Ramadan

Due to the higher attendance during Ramadan, there will be some adjustments to the Jummuah prayer areas.

Men will enter the door on the WEST side of the building. Brothers will pray in the Men's Prayer Hall and the attached Women's Prayer Hall.

Women will enter the Southwestern door (near the Imam's Office). They can then then walk straight and turn right towards the Sunday School area, or continue to the Spare Prayer Hall directly next to the Social Hall (Not the Women's Prayer Hall attached to the Men's Prayer Hall). Sisters will pray in the carpeted area of the Sunday School and the Spare Prayer Hall by the Social Hall 

Taraweeh Prayer

We will be hosting Taraweeh prayer every night of Ramadan, In Sha Allah. Taraweeh Prayer will take place 5 minutes after the completion of Isha prayer at ISNEO. Because Daylight Savings Time begins during Ramadan, please plan to adjust prayer and fasting times accordingly.

Isha Iqamah (commencement of prayer)

February 18 - March 7: 8:00 PM

March 8 - March 19: 9:00 PM

Note: Khatam al-Quran (Completion of the Quran recitation) is expected to be on the 27th night of Ramadan. Taraweeh prayers will continue until the last day of Ramadan.

Iftar Dinners

ISNEO will be hosting Iftar dinners EVERY SATURDAY of Ramadan, In Sha Allah.

There is an URGENT NEED FOR VOLUNTEERS AND SPONSORS/DONORS to support this community activity. We are encouraging everyone, including brothers, sisters, and youth, to volunteer to help with setup, clean up, and serving during the Iftar dinners.

To Volunteer, please complete the form by CLICKING HERE. Volunteers will be asked to arrive at ISNEO early or to stay late depending on the tasks volunteered for.

To Donate / Sponsor the Iftar dinners, please donate via or Donations Page or Paypal with a memo mentioning the funds are for Iftar dinners. Cash / Check donations should be placed in a closed envelope labelled "Iftar 2026" and deposited in one of the cash donation boxes at ISNEO.

2026 Quran Competition

The annual ISNEO Quran Competition will be at ISNEO on March 14th, right after Asr Prayer!

Age Groups

13+ (only the age of 13-19 are eligible for prizes): Surah Yaseen

9-13 years: Surah Al -Waqi'ah

5-8 years: Surah Al-Bayinnah

Less than 5 years: Reciter can choose any Surah

Prices

InshaAllah all participants will be rewarded for their efforts and for their recitations. There will also be a cash prize for each Age Group, chosen by a panel of judges.

13-19 years:

• 1st Place: $200

• 2nd Place: $100

9-13 years:

• 1st Place: $150

• 2nd Place: $75

5-8 years:

• 1st Place: $75

• 2nd Place: $50

Less than 5 years:

• All participants less than five years old will receive a gift from ISNEO
